Gullwing SLS as F1 Pace car


The first race of the 2010 Formula 1 season is just two short weeks away, and today Mercedes-Benz announced its gullwinged SLS AMG will perform pace duties for the race. Mercedes' newest supercar will replace the two year run of its SL63 AMG as this years' pace car.

"Together with the entire AMG Team, I am very proud that the new SLS AMG is the official F1 safety car," said Mercedes AMG CEO Volker Mornhinweg. "I'm sure all Mercedes and AMG fans will be excited to see the gullwing model together with the new Mercedes GP Petronas Team at the F1 circuits," (more)
